Fairchild FC-2W2 Panagra. Khee-Kha Art Products vacuform 1/72nd

Recommended Posts

A model from 4 years ago, to further illustrate vacuform construction.

Here is the PANAGRA Fairchild FC-2W2 that used to land in Buenos Aires.

There is one not very good photo showing extensive modifications on the fuselage with added windows. The same photos shows tail and wing bands (visual aids).

Bear in mind that this very plane suffered many transformations along its career and wore different schemes, and that the plane depicted had these special bands on the wing tips and ahead of the ailerons, as a visual/rescue aid.

Before being crashed and modified with the additional windows, this plane appears painted in something that renders almost black in B&W photos, showing a more common window configuration.

This kit is an example of a currently produced good vacuform kit from a manufacturer that cares about his customers and product.

I made my own decals on this occasion.

Great airplane and great photography.  I have heard nothing but good things about Khee-Kha so it is good to hear you confirm this.  I just wish they did 1/48 aircraft as I love their choice of planes they have put out.
