Hello Britmodellers,

My little 11 is now 22 and out of the glass house. This is the 1st roll out and 1st pictures, never published up to now....

145557, Vought F-8K Crusader, C/N: 480 as seen at Washington Dulles International Airport, 1972.

Started on October 01, 1995, Finished on February 21, 1996. Conversion, nosejob, open airbrake and Micro Scale....

OK, now I am really depressed! Beautiful build of the old Hasegawa kit, which still can hold its own against the Academy kit, especially in the hands of a master modeler like yourself! Another of your outstanding models!

The Hasegawa F-8E would not be my first choice as the starting point, but you've done a brilliant job and the end result speaks for itself. Looks like you caught all the subtle nuances of the early build/ re-manufactured Crusaders.

 

Great choice of paint scheme!
