My uncle asked me to do take a crack at this kit for him after I built an Iron Patriot for my cousin. First time I've worked with a motorcycle kit. Fairly simple, but my word I wish Tamiya didn't chrome plate the parts ><

Without further ado, here it be :)

Hah, indeed. They have a slight transparency to them which I think interacts with the green. I'm glad I did a hard edge in the approximate area :P

Very classy! It looks just right

I do have one suggestion though: if it is possible, consider adjusting the mirrors. At the moment they'd only be offering a view of the gear and rear brake levers 🤔

Sounds about right for Ducati mirrors, presuming that they're even readable, or actually still attached, over 1000 rpm.

Lovely job on the MHR,  I'd be proud to have that on my mantlepiece.

Oh, I've already handed it over to my uncle I'm afraid, bhouse, but unfortunately that was the only way they'd mount into the handlebars. I thought they looked too low myself when I saw them.

Actually, looking more closely at the mirrors I think the trouble is caused by the angle of the handlebars. The clutch and front brake levers should be pointing downwards.

So rotating the handlebars would automatically tilt the mirrors closer to the "correct" position without changing their actual mounting.

Not meant as a criricism, and it's hardly a big deal, but maybe helpful in case someone else encounters this problem. Oh, and I can personally vouch for the vagueries of Ducati mirrors... 😂

No worries, W-D :P

I'm actually trying to recall how the handlebars went on, lol.
