Two Big Migs

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I'm in the midst of a somewhat Soviet/Russian aircraft frenzy (want to build plenty before I go on an F-14 binge  ) so my next project, once the Su-35 is completed, will be a double header - ICM's Mig-25PD and the much talked about AMK -Mig-31BM/BSM. I was struggling to decide which to build first, so I decided to build both of them in tandem, something which I rarely do! Anyway, the kits:

Mig-25 with aftermarket and marking scheme:

In terms of extras, I'll be using a Quickboost KM-1 ejection seat, Master brass pitot tube, Cold War Studio parachute release actuator and fins along with Begemot decals. I'll be marking it as a Ukrainian Air Force machine, from the 146th Fighter Aviation Regiment in 1995. This jet has  distinctive shark mouth nose art so fingers crossed the decals, sized for the Revell kit, fit the new ICM example.

Mig-31 with aftermarket and marking scheme:

Extras for this one include Neomega K-36DM ejection seats, Furball Vinyl masks, Master brass pitot tube and AMK's own update set - which includes new decals, etch, metal landing gear and tinted canopies. I'll be marking it as '93 Blue' of the Russian Air Force, however I am unsure on the squadron/aviation regiment.

Looking forward to starting!
