Reminder: it was sold by Revell but it had a non-operational scheme... https://www.scalemates.com/kits/revell-04971-dassault-mirage-f1c-ct--1256140

Forgot about that one, thanks. I almost bought a couple, however the color schemes present in this Revell reboxing didn't attract me as much.

Mind you, that's just me, the hoarder, talking. With over a dozen SH (and Heller) F.1's, and at least 3 or 4 different F.1CT decal sheets, I could have already taken care of it. But, and call me crazy, I'm still waiting for an SH specific Mirage F.1CT boxing, sporting an operational green and grey wraparound scheme. Anyway, sorry for the OT guys. ;)

Andre has 14 Mirage IIIC/CJ (at least the last time I checked), and I have 8 so far. If I need to buy some more in order for SH to start working on the Mirage III/V family again, so be it. The problem is the wife... she says my office looks like a model store, and recently acquired a look-down capability for her radar that is pretty spooky.

Let's all hope for your sake she doesn't upgrade to AESA radar anytime soon...

Any news on Mirage V and IIIE?

Nothing... there was supposed to be a new boxing last autumn. SH evidently changed plans. No official word, but I suspect sales on Mirage III were not as good as they wanted (no wonder, Modelsvit is quite a complete package), so Thunderstreak and other releases took priority. I can't help but wonder why they didn't start with the Mirage V line instead, those have not been covered in 72nd scale since the HPM/PJ kits from 2011...

This can be the case. But then V would be even more logical step. Still I hope to see Special Hobby Nesher in the next 2-3 years...

Come to think about it - all this must be my fault! 😝

I have a dozen High Planes (old short, really SHORT serie) Mirages (Mirage IIIC, Mirage IIIEA, Nesher one and two seaters, Daggers, Fingers et al.) and I've only built one...

If I get cracking with a couple (esp. the two-seaters) then SH will shower us with with all possible variants of the Mirage III/V at once 😜

Cheers, Moggy (blood offering coming right up!)

That's the spirit!  Take one for the team.

Oh...  and don't forget to post them in the forthcoming Mirage III STGB.

That should just about do it.

France:  natural metal, Mirage blue, two distinct Djibouti schemes

Israel:  natural metal, desert camouflage, desert with hi-vis triangles, air defence greys

South Africa:  natural metal, desert scheme, air defence scheme

Argentina:  Camouflage scheme, air defence scheme

Switzerland:  one IIIC as a demonstrator. natural metal

Then of course there are all the weird and wonderful Israeli recce noses.

I have those as well. ;)

And yes, apart from the South African markings (I live in hope for a future SH boxing) I have decals for all the schemes you mention.

Cheers,

Andre
