ReccePhreak Posted September 16, 2018 Share Posted September 16, 2018 I have been looking for an Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I (Kit A05126) here in the USA, but NOBODY has them in stock, even ebay. I did see one on Amazon Prime for $80.00, but that's stupid pricing. Even all the UK shops seem to be out of them. Is it currently OOP at Airfix? Now that it has been reported on certain forums that the original Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I is totally screwed up, I want to see if the new Airfix kit will fit my Airwaves 1/48 resin recce conversions. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. I just ordered from them, and got a First Time Customer 10% discount. Total shipped cost was only $27.12 in US$. I am aware of Tamiya's new tool Spitfire that's due out whenever. That's where I heard that the first Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I was all messed up. Sincerehobby has been in my bookmarks for a number of years, so not sure how I found them, but do recall hearing about them over at Missing-Lynx when talking about armour models. Anyways, hope your order arrives quicker than mine did.
