Jabba
Can anyone give me the rough colour of the Tornado Wing Seals, the things that the wings fold into.
fubar57
I'm seeing Medium Grey and a dirty Buff colour. For the Buff, look at Tamiya's XF-57. Just my take of course. Troffa
Fellow Britmodeller Shaun has a couple of close up shots of a rather tatty Tornado wing seal from a few years ago. The outer cover was a very tough synthetic fibre, a light grey in colour, but individual fibres appeared almost silver or white when they frayed. The whole bag weathered to a nice dirty grey in service. Wing Seal
Pete in Lincs
There could be grease/gunge in the gap too. The seal inflated to 9 psi above ambient, BTW.

Julien
We have 5 different Tornado walkarounds with a few different pics and they do get kind off grubby and look different, the first one looks even top to bottom, the second different.
