F-100D Royal Danish Air Force 1963.

Recommended Posts

Hi folk's well another completed Jet from me again for the Nato/Warpac GB and my first ever Danish machine too,I thought if I could have a nice shiney finish

and manage to finish it I'd be delighted then I found this photo.

So after that nice shiny finish was achieved with washes, sanding buffing etc I ended up with a very scruffy well worn Sabre hope you like and thank's for

taking the time to look.

Thank's folk's by the way I'ts been pointed out the framing above the  pilots head is a mistake by Italeri as can be seen by the photo ofthe real

thing, thankfully as I use acrylic's  the paint was easily removed,I'll live with the frame.

Hattaboy Steve!!!

Now you start delving into the highly weathered airframes... the dark Art cometh my friend!!!

I have come to the conclusion that soap must be ridiculously expensive in Denmark, as most of their aircraft really look unkempt and the worst for wear!

You have done a great job of it!

Congrats!!!

What can I say that the others haven't already! Yowzah- she looks like she's been sitting in outdoor storage for 20 years! I am soooo impressed!

Coward!

You didn't go for the  later Danish grotty green patchwork colour scheme, the model weatherers delight! :giggle:

Only joking!

Strangely you don't see this Danish silver F100 scheme done very often, and this looks really good.
