airfixpeter Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) This one should be my last entry as I have exhausted my stash of all my classic airfix kits I will be dispensing with the BR decals in favour of some GWR one witch I have on order. And despite no instructions everything seems to be present. Edited September 16, 2018 by peterairfix 8
Lawzer Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 I don't think i've ever seen that kit before....I must say with the railway kits that've been done I'm kinda tempted to try one.....👍 2

airfixpeter Posted September 14, 2018 Author Posted September 14, 2018 Made a start and this time I am going old school I will delving into my tins of enamel and going hairy stick not a airbrush in sight. Just finished of the front end of the boiler. 6
airfixpeter Posted September 16, 2018 Author Posted September 16, 2018 Here's an update got the body together with no problems and painted bearing in mind this is brush work only so I won't look as good plus I am giving it the look that how I would have done if I were 12. I also put together the chassis wheels and all moves witch is a suprise. 3
airfixpeter Posted September 16, 2018 Author Posted September 16, 2018 Even without instructions it was quick but done in the same way as I would have done when I was 12 not an airbrush in sight all done by hairy stick using humrol enamel paint and considering I haven't touched them for a couple of years they have held out well. 8
MarkSH Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 I blinked, can you do it again! Great work, looks really nice. 1 3
Rabbit Leader Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Excellent Peter, well that looks like another winner. Tell me, what 12 year old wouldn't have been chuffed to turn this pile of plastic parts into that finished product, hairy stick and all? Yet another Classic kit to be proud of - well done! Cheers..
