fjaweijfopi4j48
A model from 11 years ago, adding to the Bleriot designs posted today to complement the Pioneers thread. Monsieur Louis Bleriot experimented a lot with the “canard” formula, so much so that in his 25th plane he made one of his periodical returns to that configuration. We can’t blame him, since the appeal of the design is irresistible. Isn’t it? Bleriot built a plethora of planes, but they were just a mere excuse for him to wear those magnificent mustaches and the ubiquitous beret, not to mention to puzzle crowds in regard of what direction would his planes take-off –or land! From a past when creating and experimenting was part of the daily challenge, climbing majestically over the horizon, comes a gleaming, glamorous Beauty. 21
JWM
Next very nice pioneering design and model of it! It is really very educative to see all those designs. They must look very decorative together on display at your place Thank you for sharing J-W

Duckwizard
In general there is nothing wrong with the canard config. It can't stall. Once again: never saw this one. Very interesting and very pretty.
Gorby
Another amazing model and aircraft. I'm very surprised how small the vertical tail(?) surface is.

pheonix
Another masterpiece from the master modeller. I am surprised that Bleriot returned to the canard design after the success of his earlier more conventional monoplanes. It shows how much experimentation and learning was going on at this time. Silenoz
Superb work, those early years sure had some weird configurations that were "re-invented" during history.
Brandy
Very nice! I just had Greg move my scratchbuilt Bleriot XI-2 build here from the WWI discussion page where it has languished for a few years. Another of the old pioneer types! Canards have some rudder issues as the acting forces have a not very favourable momentum related to the center of gravity (for the record, I am no aerodynamicist, but built and flew for decades free-flight and RC flying models)
