PWJ
WIP 1/48 Westland Scout conversion RAN Calling this one done. This is another of those long term builds that I have dragged back onto the bench. It is the very old Fujimi 1/48 Westland Wasp converted to a RAN Scout. Due to the age of the kit it is a relatively simple model with minimal components. The basic shape is a good basis to work from. Being a conversion however I ended up scratch building a number of components and details particular to the Scout. Cheers PWJ

k5054nz
I agree with them! Taking into consideration the base kit I'd say you knocked it out of the park! I'm so glad to see the end result as I remember following the WIP with great interest. Top job, PWJ!

CJP
That's a very nice little model of a Scout - the engine has a suitably convincing jumble of pipes and bits too - great work CJP

jenko
I really like that. Funny I hadn't seen a Wasp kit in years ...then at the Medway model show I saw one for sale. and a mate of mine has one and is letting me have it. I thought they were hens teeth... they are that rare. Dick
