Thant
Hello everyone. This is my recently finished MiG-31 Foxhound, 1/48 scale from Hobby Boss. Didn't encounter major problems throughout the build. Hope you like it.
exdraken
Wow!! That is certainly not the most typical Foxhound around!! And well armed it is as well Interesting cockpit layout with large screen in the back and old style analogue in the front office Thanks for showing great job! Doc72
A very fine model and a really impressive beast of an aircraft. Do they really fly with 12 missiles? (I don't say it's wrong, I am just astonished).
Pin
"They" are just 7 prototypes, it has not reached production I'm not sure "M" was capable of using R-60 (small ones) but it could bear 6 long range R-33/37 with 4 medium range R-77 PS. Checked that - it could be armed with up to 8 R-60 in addition to 6 R-33/37.

general melchett
Great build of a very impressive beast. I managed to snag one at Telford at the weekend for £30 which seemed pretty reasonable especially as it included some aftermarket resin and PE, (The beautiful Brassin wheels are an improvement on the rubber HB offerings, as is the Master metal pitot). Not as refined as the AMK kit I built earlier but certainly a welcome addition to the collection, especially as it's the more unusual M variant.

Flankerman
057 Blue was the prototype MiG-31M hence the B&W photo calibration markings and wraparound windscreen. AFAIK, it never entered service. It now languishes at Zhukovsky - tucked away on the Mikoyan ramp - where I photographed it in 2007...... Great model though Thant Ken
