dashellis
Hi All I visit this site 2 or 3 times daily like its some part of my religion. I'm always blown away by the standard of some of the modelling on here and my New Years resolution this year was build more and post models, get involved!! Well that hasn't gone too well thus far as we are now in September!! Anyway finally got round to finishing a couple of builds this year so I present to you my 1/48th Airfix BAe Hawk, made from a Red Arrows kit with Xtradecals decals to represent a Barley Camo bird, I know some of the stencils are wrong, should be white rather than black but hey ho. Hope you enjoy apologies for photos still working on that, All the best Darren
Simon382
Looks good to me and wouldn't have noticed the stencils if you hadn't have mentioned them. Good result Edited September 2, 2018 by Simon382

The dragon is the Sqn emblem, it appears in the unit badge, and indicates the unit's fighting role, the flames being associated with the name "Spitfire ". https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._234_Squadron_RAF (with the usual cautions about the source, but the sqn histories are generallly reliable.) Lovely model, looks really good.
