Well done on your Wimpey,..... it looks superb and I cannot fault your taste in colour schemes,...haha!

Okay, I'll bite.  Why was the Victor a "misstep"?  I don't have one but I've heard scarcely a breath of criticism of any aspect of the kit.

The plastic for one. It was the British plastic instead of the Indian plastic. Panel lines were inconsistent. Fit was awful around the wings and intakes.

I've been tempted by the Airfix Wellington and this rendition doesn't do anything to ease that temptation.

 

The problem is that I have so many other manufacturer's Wimpeys in the stash that I am reluctant to splash out on another.

I have the Airfix kit, it blows all the other Wimpey kits out of the water, it is by far the best Wellington kit, the fabric covering effect is brilliant
