The seal on box hasn't been broken, so I guess that it meets the requirements of this group build.

No idea what is inside, so time to kick off.

All photos will be taken using my phone, and posted via the Kindle. I must remember to enjoy this

Thanks Valkyrie, company is always appreciated.

Moving onwards i stuck inside gubbins together ready for the first paint. Currently music is Attack on the Winter Wall by Audiomachine. SWIMBO is downstairs making a curry for refuelling purposes.

The IPA in the background will not be sampled

Quick question,

Looking through my paints I have noticed that I only have AK Air Series paints for the green and brown and not much chance of changing this situation before end of play.

Has anyone used these?

Can they be used direct from the pot through an airbrush as per ModelAir?

What can they be diluted with? I only have Vallejo, Tamiya, Mr Color and IPA.

Will need to know to clean the airbrush after.

Thanks Valkyrie, I decided to do a bit of experimenting.

AK Air Series does NOT like IPA, turns into a bit of a goo.

Mr Color and Tamiya seem ok, but Vallejo Airbrush Thinner works a treat.

Straight from the dropper seems to work as well

Dark earth coat on, now for the green.  This will be done freehand.

This is starting to get a bit tiring now. I have finished the upper surface but have no idea how long the paint will take to cure enough to mask off for the underside colour.

I think I may take a beer break and then try to mask off and see what happens. There is a good chance that we will see this fully painted tonight ready for decals tomorrow, or is that later today.

Thanks for looking

The underside is now painted.

There was a bit of overdraft on the upper surface, but a touch up seems to have rectified that

There will now be a slight hiatus as the paint dries ready for decalling.

I will be taking the time to visit my dad who has just come out of hospital following a bit of internal modification in the kidney area. Guess it is the biological version of modelling.

Back soon

Right,

I can finally call this one done.

As you can see, I have gone for a Belgian markings, partly because I like the colour, but mostly because there is less colours to spray.

And to prove the timing,

18:33 start, 17:42 finish, I believe that this means I managed the 24 hour limit.

This has been an interesting experience and one I am glad I took part in.

Thanks for looking
