AFM (Air Forces of Malta) insignia decals - Any out there?

All,

Have just acquired a 1/72 Heller Alouette and have the old Airfix S.A Bulldog still tucked away in the stash. Ideally I would like to make both as part of the small aviation collection from the Air Forces of Malta, however have not seen any Aftermarket decals for this nations insignia. Does anyone know if a set of decals exist? Perhaps our readership from Malta might be able to shed some light. Anyway - thanks for looking and possibly coming to my aid.

Cheers... Dave

Berna 72097 gives you an Alouette:

Max Decals "Sud Alouette III: International" also features Maltese markings - good luck finding one, though:

Thanks for the two links Andre, both sheets appear to be quite extensive for what I'm after and as you say the Max Decals one is probably going to be too difficult to source anyway. It would be too much to expect a sheet to cover all AFM subjects so I may have to resort to some custom made jobs?

Try the wants page Dave, its well possible someone has those sheets for other than the AFM markings & would pass them on.

Steve.

Thanks Steve, I just might try that. I've got a vision (how many times have you said that to yourself) of building a series of aircraft that have been operated by the AFM. Might just give me a reason to build / source a S.A Bulldog, Cessna Bird Dog, Britten Norman Islander, Bell 47, Bell 206 and my newly acquired Heller Alouette from yesterday's Model Show purchases. A generic Insignia sheet would be wonderful, however probably not something that would sell to the masses I suspect.

Cheers.. Dave
