Beggsy
Ready and waiting for the start with this one: Here are the "base" kit parts: And here are the added bits: Looks like I'll have some bonus Mk.V fuselages from the base sprues! The decals: Finally, we also get a canopy and a little bit of photo-etch: I'm hoping to finish it in a single 24 hour period, but I guess we'll see about that. I've never built this kit before, so I really have no idea how easy or not it will be. Wish me luck!

Beggsy
Cockpit parts are assembled and waiting to dry before being airbrushed. I also built the propeller in the meantime.

Valkyrie
Hoho swift work!!! Nice work!!! I’m meant to be a Luftwaffe builder and I didn’t even know this kit existed, nice wings! Il be keeping an eye, good luck
Beggsy
Starting to look like something resembling a spitfire.... Got some sanding to do, though! Nice surface detail on the wings: The cockpit is almost visible in here... I almost forgot the inserts for the wheels when assembling the wings! I've since sanded all this back, made some rivets and had sushi for a late lunch. I'll try and remember to keep taking pictures!
Jinxman
Nice start! I like the tidy bench as well - may I ask what the small, yellow 4-engined jet things are? cheers
Beggsy
It's certainly not that tidy anymore! As for the jets, those are some little clips for papers and the like. I don't use them for that very often, but they're great for clamping thin and small parts together while drying!
Jinxman
That's more like it - slightly chaotic, but productive! Just sorting mine out now for tomorrow's start.... cheers
Beggsy
Sanded, riveted, masked....ready for paint! The rivets came out well....at least on this wing! There are a few not-so-straight lines out there in other areas. Oh well! I've painted the prop in RLM 70 Black Green I've also painted the wheels.

Beggsy
One last update before I go off to a friend's birthday dinner: The yellow is on. This is a good time for a break, it will be ready for masking when I get home. I'm going to try and do the upper camouflage freehand with my airbrush...

Beggsy
It's done! Overall, it went together a lot better, and had much more detail, than I was expecting. The decals fought me a bit, and there was some major filling on the wing leading edges, but otherwise things were pretty smooth. A full gallery post will follow later, but right now, I need a bed ('cause that time on the watch is an AM, folks)! As always, it's been a pleasure building with you. Goodnight!
