Hardtarget
Made a start and the start went into auto build mode. First off box shots and extras. DSC_0003 by stuart wellard, on Flickr DSC_0004 by stuart wellard, on Flickr First up dealing with the new pit. Some plastic needs to be removed but apart from that its a slot in replacement. Weirdly the instructions are repeated on both sides of the sheet so you only get stages 1-4 which cover the main assembly but not the rudder peddles, bomb aimers cover, stick and center console. DSC_0005 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Some ejection pins need to be removed for the wings to fit together. DSC_0006 by stuart wellard, on Flickr and some filling in of the pins on the U/C doors. DSC_0007 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Wings cemented, no real issues here but careful alignment is required as there are no pins. DSC_0008 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Cockpit tub painted. DSC_0009 by stuart wellard, on Flickr DSC_0010 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Tub including seats. DSC_0011 by stuart wellard, on Flickr DSC_0012 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Fuselage halves cemented needing a little persuasion. DSC_0013 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Intakes added as well as the wing, no real issues except underside where the tail section joins the underwing. I t has a bot of a step. DSC_0014 by stuart wellard, on Flickr Added final tail section exhaust piece, little join issue but should be fine once sanded and primed. exdraken
Wow! That is nearly finished already! Look classy?
stevehnz
This is looking good & making great progress. I can see a Pavla cockpit coming for mine, otherwise, its comforting to see one go together so well. Steve.

Hardtarget
Small update on the mirage. ~Fitted the glazing only to find that the front sections doesnt fit over the new resin pit coaming, so this needed some sanding and repeated test fitting until it got close enough. Finally settled on a position and PVA was used to fix it in place. Also added the nose section using the glazing but may simply push this through and use PVA. Hardtarget
Got an update on this bird too from the last week. Got her primed and then a black coat. For some reason it appears reflective in this pic. DSC_0003 (1) by stuart wellard, on Flickr Out with the polished aluminum and the undercarriage assembled. exdraken
Looks great! I'd say it is desirable to have a gloss dark base color before a polished metal cote!
