Supermarine SPITFIRE / SEAFIRE / SPITEFUL / SEAFANG STGB Chat

Recommended Posts

Although at the moment I have two unfinished Spits in various stages of painting, a modeller cannot have enough Spits in progress :D

Patrice, please sign me up - probably it will be an AZ model 1/72 Spitfire Mk IX in exotic livery.

Thanks,

Srđan

I’ve decided to build the Loch Doon spitfire that I’ve always banged on about. I was pleased to see the pilot, F/O Frantisek Hekl is remembered on the Czech RAF memorial in Prague that I visited on Remembrance Day last week

Like David, I too have not done very well with group builds...to put it mildly.

But I'm still game. Please put me down for one,

Alan

I'm just as bad with group builds too. But plenty of options in the stash plus you can always buy another....

Being a newbie here and trying to get back at it..........I have no track record here.   But with our club's group builds over the years I've had the same issue.........3 to 4 yrs later completing a kit.

If I can keep the modeling juices flowing (gonna participate in P-51 STGB in December)..........I am game.  Just ordered this set, and would like to do the first profile.  I'd have to order the Tamiya kit to do it.......already built one with Black/White bottom.   I always like doing unique schemes.

I accidently picked up a 1:48 scale Academy mk xiv yesterday so would like to be signed up with that!

I have also asked Santa for a Eduard 1:72 mk ix so I can do one from my grandad's sqn so assuming I have been a good boy I will hopefully do one of those too.

I am building a selection of Spitfires/Seafires in 1/72nd and will definitely be building some next year. I am not sure which marks yet, although a PR1f and the prototype seem to be near the top of the pile. So many marks, so little time.

Can I join with either a Spitfire Mk24, Israeli Mk IX or yet another Aussie Eight?
