Kingsman Posted August 22, 2018 Posted August 22, 2018 I'm thinking of doing something involving a 1/35 vehicle and seawater (don't want to give all my secret plans away!). There are so many ways of representing water. Confusing. Vallejo, AK Interactive and MiG all offer a range of coloured and clear water products at a wide range of prices. To do something sea-ish you seem to need coloured product(s), effect gel, foam and probably clear product. Vallejo seems to be most expensive and MiG cheapest with AK in the middle. For the purposes of this discussion I'm ignoring the model railway products like Woodland Scenics, which are clear and intended for streams and small water areas. I did, however, pick up a large bottle of completely clear PVA in my local branch of The Range for under a fiver, on the basis that it had to be useful for something. I've never seen completely clear PVA before: even Kristal Kleer is white in the bottle. Has anyone used any of these? If yes, what did you think? Before I shell out what will likely be £30+ on products I might have a play with the clear PVA.
