I really enjoyed this blitz-build, best fun I've had in ages, off to peruse my stash for more potential dayglo subjects :)

Here's a the 1978 Airfix P-51B Mustang, done over a single 18-hour period yesterday ending in the not-so-wee hours of this morning, punctuated by dinner, a gym session and two marmite sandwiches, all washed down with gallons of tea. I detailed the cockpit a tiny bit, added a wheel well but otherwise it is OOB. I think my kit was a bit warped because I had quite a lot of trouble getting the fuselage halves together and getting the canopy to fit. Lots of sanding cured that in the end. Paint is all brushed, Revell acrylic silver underneath with a mix of 1x Revell Nato Olive and 2x Humbrol Light Olive acrylics above. The decals went on well but they are very yellow - if I had known in advance I would have dirtied up my standard "off white" for the nose and stripes.

Build thread is here.

Thanks for looking,

Adrian

PS - I know the inner doors retracted back up again and only came down if the flaps were down, but I like the inner door detail and want to show it off!

Dapol Deltic.

I didn't think I would do the build in time luckily no body warps and the only flash was on the cab ends.

The Color choice is a livery carried by the production machine's.

Time start 12.22 pm finished time 17.40 total time 5hrs 18mins the quickest kit build for me ever.

PM Horton Ho-229 A-1 (Ho-IX) 1/72

This started out as a "normal" Luft 46 build but as the decals that come with the kit are very basic and the potential scheme of 2 tone green didn't set pulses racing I got an idea for doing something a bit different.

So using some old FROG decals, the Ho-229 was put into service by the Italian airforce, so offering a chance for me to have a go at some spectacular camouflage, I hope you like it

cheers Pat

As with all these Meng kits, a good fun build.
