MIG-29 Yugoslavian AF "Vitesovi" 1/72

Recommended Posts

Hi folks!

It’s my latest build - Yugoslavian fighter MiG-29 (9-12). Trumpeter kit in 1/72 scale.

This multi-purpose front-line fighter was created in USSR in 1983. And could carry various weapons - bombs, rocket pods and different A-A missiles and build-in cannon GSH-301.

Aftermarket not used

I had scratch build and add some handmade plastic parts

My changes:

- cockpit

- engine nozzles

- nose and main landing gear

- all landing headlights

- A-A missiles

- all antennas, main Pitot tube and others

PAINTING – AKAN and ZIPmaket acrylic colors

WASHING – MIG (dark and neutral wash)

VARNISHIES – mat TAMIYA and FUTURE

DECALS – “LIFT HERE decals” (Made in Serbia)

I present aircraft (number 18109) Serbian pilot-hero lieutenant colonel Milenco Pavlovich (commander of the 204th Air-Defense Regiment, Batainica, 1999). He was shot down in an unequal air battle by attacking the twelve NATO fighters.

Pleasant watching!

Nice model!!

Yeah, fighting against the whole of Nato is not the easiest from the point of view of a smaller country!! And war is never fair or equal.... but aleays horrible for those directly affected.....

One of the best weathering jobs I've seen in years - none of that awful shading everywhere, just neat panel lines and general grime - exactly how a hard-working MiG should be.

I wanted to show exactly the "workhorse".

Superb Fulcrum!

Really great job on the painting and weathering and a fitting tribute to a brave pilot, as bravery is never limited to the combatants of just one side.

Thank you very much!

Nice to hear....
