Thanks Pete,

Yes, the gun is rather long, that's what made a "super" rather than just Pershing. It was an attempt to raise the muzzle velocity of the 90mm to be able to take on types like the King Tiger. 1,000 were ordered but only 25 built. Two (I think) prototypes took part in fighting in the last days of WW2. The long barrel would have made some cross-country driving quite challenging I think due to the risk of digging the muzzle into undulating ground.

Great looking model 👍 ... I just saw the real deal 6 weeks ago. The photos are about 1/2 to 2/3rds down the photos in the post.
