tonyot
Hiya Folks, I made these some years ago and they were featured in a Suez Special edition of a modelling magazine but I don`t think that I have ever shared them here,..... so if you are interested here they are; Fleet Air Arm; 1/48th Aeroclub Sea Venom`s 1/48th Classic Airframes Sea Hawk 1/48th Hobbyboss(?) Wyvern 1/72nd Skyraider AEW.1 (Aeroclub conversion with Hasegawa kit) 1/72nd Avenger (used for COD duties by HMS Bulwark Ships Flight)- Hasegawa kit. 1/72nd Italeri Whirlwind conversion This represents one of the helicopters from the HMS Eagle Ships Flight and was used for SAR from the desert to rescue a downed Sea Hawk pilot,.... I have since found out that the door codes were laid out differently with smaller numbers and the carrier code `E' above. This is one of the HAR.22`s used in the Commando Assault. Joint Service Trials Unit Whirlwind also used during the Commando Assault French Navy Hasegawa Corsair`s Although wearing Suez Stripes,.... this unit was actuallly held in reserve! RAF I do plan to built models of the Hastings, Valetta, Canberra etc,... but they are future projects. 1/48th Aeroclub Venom FB.4 1/48th Classic Airframes Meteor FR.9 (208 Sqn was based in Malta to protect the island,....some wore Suez Stripes!) 1/72nd Matchbox Meteor NF.13 (39 Sqn provided air defnce cover for Cyprus) French Air Force 1/48th Heller RF-84F 1/48th Monogram F-84F 1/72nd Matchbox Mystere Israeli Defence Force 1/48th Hasegawa P-51D 1/72nd Matchbox Mosquito 1/72nd Heller Ouragon And Finally,......The Baddies 1/72nd Dragon MiG 15 1/72nd Matchbox Meteor NF.13,....(one of these aircraft carried out a night interception against an RAF Valiant) And that is the lot,.....hope you like them! JWM
Excellent and colourfull collection Especially the navy birds are really eye-catching. ! It makes me a bit angry on myself that I restricted my filed of construction models to 1935-45... Best regards Jerzy-Wojtek

Meatbox8
A terrific collection Tony. I recognised your Whirlwinds from the article which I cut out and put in my reference file for future use. Well, it is the future now and I still haven't built a Whirlwind! I especially covet the Skyraider and Avenger as I 'need' kits of these two types for my FAA line up. Those Armee De L'Air jets look particularly sleek.

Silver Fox
Greta work as usual from the O'Toole Aircraft Factory. I find it hard to pick a favourite but I do especially like the Sea Venom and RF-84F.

Rabbit Leader
Wow!! I thought the first few were as good as always from you, but then it was like this post was never going to end, the quality models just kept on coming!! Too hard to pick a winner amongst that lot, however your Matchbox Meteors and 208 Sqd FR.9 did make me slow down my scrolling. Id be happy to achieve all that in a lifetime of modelling. Cheers.. pacificmustang
OOH! I think Ive just found the scheme for my Trumpeter 32 scale Avenger Great collection Tony. I miss Neil Robinson's editing I loved how he used to "theme" issues of his magazines. I still have this issue at home as well as the one he did on 2TAF, or was that SAM?
