Albatros D.V, EDUARD, 1/48

Which scheme are you going to do Miroslav?  I always think that Kissenberth's black machine with the large edelweiss looks very attractive...

Thank you very much Robert

Andwill, this Albatros I will finished with Richard Flashar insignia from Jasta 5 but another Albatros (same plastic in Revell package) I will finished with Otto Kissenberth insignia from Jasta 23b. I hope so 🙂

  • 2 months later...

After few months „out of the bussines", I find time for our beautiful hobby.

So, this is three steps for making „woods"... maybe this is wrong but I like the exploring 🙂 (oh, my Tarzan English...)

Step 1 - Primer is MMS Tan Primer

Step 2 - First „wood" coat is MMP-060 Dark Tan

Now I used MMP-002 Brown for darknest „shadow"...

Fuel reservoar, on second photos, paints with MMM-003 Aluminium...

Cheers!

Hi Miroslav, I’ve never seen a definitive reference for the Jasts 5 green but I would have gone for a darker shade, more of a bottle green, but it’s your model so your call.  One thing though, the green should also be on the rear of the fuselage not just the fin and tail plane as you have it now.

@Miroslav

I generally see more of a blue green depicted than the yellow green here - but WWI colour accuracy is all very much guess work.

If you scroll down here you'll see Eduard's take on the colour (the printed instructions look different from the colour I see on screen).

There is a range of colours shown on the WingNut Wings Jasta 5 pages.

Hi gents, yes, I agree with you 100% about this green.

Andwil, I know for green on the rear part of fuselage, this is only one quick experiment and you and Robert Stuart give me fantastic info.

Thank you very much for that. Wingnut Wings Jatsa 5 page is superb!
