Joining you with this kit,

Airfix_F51_Mustang.jpg

Costing £2.99 from Home Bargains in 2016.

I swapped one prop for leftovers from XtraDecal set X72-099

Mine most likely to be WDD with that black arrow symbol, as archery is my game.

A kit that I've built twice before,

First this Firewall scheme Italian Theatre RAF Mustang IV

Next this Korean War USAF F-51D Mustang.

So I know about the bent undercarriage leg.

Started the silver powder at 1030 this morning with quick airbrush of gloss varnish humbrol 35.

An hour later, the magic moment, tacky but not quite dry.

Too wet a they mess. Too dry and it doesn't stick at all.

Time for silver powder and cotton buds.

And a few minutes later.
