Dornier Do J Wal Amodel 1:72

Recommended Posts

There are so many amazing models here on BM and so many great photographs but sometimes as the page opens to the first image I just go "wow!". This got a "WOW!" from me, beautiful and unusual, I've never seen a plane such as this before. I love the diorama too.

Excellent work.

That's beautiful Max.  Unfortunately I can't read cyrillic but I'm guessing the name on the bow is Antarctica?

It is "AviaArctica"

Antarctica is a bit too far away :)

Max, are you sure about the colours?

AModel suggests silver/orange paint rather than orange/blue

Judging by the photo of the prototype, Amodel was wrong with the coloring. The number on the fuselage is clearly white, and on the silver background the inscription would not be readable. Meanwhile, for Polar Aviation, the orange-blue colors are standard.
