Britman Posted August 2, 2018 Share Posted August 2, 2018 Having just read the KEY publication on the F35 Lightning, I was intrigued by what appears to be a rather un stealthy retractable housing for the drag schute. I haven't come across any other images of this yet and thought it a bit extreme and probably expensive. Also, how wil the Danish roundle distinguish itself from the RAF one? Keith. Vingtor Posted August 2, 2018 Share Posted August 2, 2018 The drag chute housing will not be a permanent installation, it will just be installed when necessary when operating from short and icy runways. Probably not much more un-stealthy than carrying external weapons and fuel tanks... It will be interesting to see how the Danish national insignia will appear, though.
