rossm
I'm sure I've seen a topic here with photos of Hampdens with ASV radar but I've been through loads of pages of search results and not found it. It doesn't help that if I search for ASV on it's own I get no results found - strange when I've been posting recently in a topic on Hudsons with ASV. Please can anyone tell me where to find the thread. Of less immediate interest but also useful would be clues as to why search doesn't work for me, Thanks, Ross
dogsbody
I don't recall ever seeing a Hampden fitted with any kind of radar. I'll have to do a search. Chris

Graham Boak
I vaguely recall a photo of the nose with Yagis on each side, angled inwards like a stag with a squint.

Ed Russell
So the port aerial searches to starboard and vice-versa........... they presumably had the standard "stickleback" array as well? Anyone have a picture?

It looks like a rack for small stores, possibly small bombs or flares. Can anyone confirm what it is? Edited August 2, 2018 by 593jones

Bengt
Hi all. In AIR 25, the apendices for 18 Group, there are usually mentioned whether the aircraft carried radar/or search equippement. From AIR 25/341, apedndics for the month of September 1943, I've got these three Hampdens from 489 Squadron carrying ASV Mk. II: AD383/J, AN164/R and AT249/W. No luck with 455 Squadron for this same month. Bengt 3
