ArtickWarspite
Hi all, Started this commission build a month or so ago. Airfix 1/600 King George V in her 1941 travelling duds. White Ensign PE set, Artworx deck, brass barrels for main batteries & 3D printed secondaries & props. After taking off the moulded on degaussing cables & installed PE ones, I sprayed the whole hull & deck in black primer. This serves to prime, shade & boot stripe. Quite time saving. Decking should ideally be grey but my customer wants a natural finish. Brass barrels are a huge improvement over the kit ones. More to come..

Chewbacca
Very nice. May I ask where you get wooden decks and brass barrels in 1/600 scale (and indeed the 3D printed 5.25s)? I've only ever seen them for the more popular sizes.

Artwox makes wood decks for most of the Airfix 1/600 ship kits.

My client gave me the kit with all the aftermarket goodies, so I don't know where exactly he sourced them from, but I can tell you the brands. PE set is White Ensign Deck was Artwox Brass barrels for the secondaries are from a brand called ABER I don't know where the 14" brass barrels came from, (possibly the same place) nor the 3D printed items sorry. Will ask next time I talk to him.
ArtickWarspite
Latest progress. Turns out the gun barrels on the secondaries need to be replaced with brass ones, so off we go again..

It is finished now. I'll post it up once time allows. I'll apologise in advance for the below average photography- I was in a massive rush as it was being picked up by the client.
