zegeye
I've build this version of Thunderbolt a years ago. It was a Heller model (I still have it, somewhere there ... ). But I always wanted to do it in marking with the pin-ups. As the Sword model appeared, the idea returned. Unfortunately, SWORD did not give in the box what I wanted so much .... two different pin-ups on one hull; o) That is why the decals of the main ''heroines'' I have specially printed. The rest of the markings comes from the SuperScale set. (unfortunately, in the set '' ladies '' did not look good). All the rest is basically out of the box, omitting the fight to adapt most elements to fit together. Unfortunately SWORD looks nice only on frames. It's scary hardcore when you put in together. Putty .... putty ... and once again .... It's enough to talk. P-47 N from 318 FG, 333 FS, pilot LT. Herb
Outstanding job! I like very much the way you kept the yellow toned down to a realistic hue. Everybody screws that up, including me! Cheers, Herb

RidgeRunner
A very, very fine example of what Sword kits can produce... Martin

kapam
Awesome build! As good as any 1/72 P-47 I've ever seen - and larger scales too for that matter.
Sgt.Squarehead
We really do have very similar taste in models don't we! But this one is just so much better than anything I will achieve with the Italeri kit!

Sgt.Squarehead
The more I look at that model, the more I realise just how bloody lazy Italeri were with their kit.....There are literally dozens of details on that model that just don't exist on mine.
