Stunning Mustang there, great weathering and paintjob, I can`t believe how well the removable panels fit either. Really nice work

Lovely P-51, great choice of scheme especially if torn between a nmf finish or o/d!

Great work, finish and weathering look spot on.

Keep putting off making mine as a little worried about spoiling it, did you find any issues with it?

Thanks for all the positive feedback folks, much appreciated.

No issues at all JD, it looks quite daunting when you open the box but it's actually a pretty straightforward build - the quality of the kit makes it a real pleasure. I used no filler on this, and the engine cowls fit much better than on the Spitfire (I think the engine installation is a lot more robust). Go for it!

This is high quality modelling, very impressive- I'm fascinated to know how did you did the checkerboard painting

Thanks CC - although the Barracuda checkerboard decal was too big I used it as a template for masking tape squares, sprayed the yellow onto a white primer layer then laid the squares over the top. The red border was also sprayed but the fuselage stripes are decals.

Regards
