Marlin
Hello. I hadn't planned to join this group build, but I need something OOB to build right now. So I hope there is room for me as well. I'll build an F-84F Thunderstreak from JaboG 33 Bundesluftwaffe in 1962021 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I've built kit before. It's the same kit I used in my Suez build from two years ago. Then I did it in French colours, this one will be German. And to show that nothing has been started, here are a few pictures of the content of the box.022 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Sprues still in the bag. 023 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Nice decals. 024 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the instructions cleary states JaboG 33 in 1962 I'll start my build after the weekend. To be continued..... /Bosse

Loving this GB 😍 Michael It's almost a mini Republic GB, which can't be bad! I look forward to your build, it certainly looks like a typically excellent Revell decal sheet. Wez
I was thinking of doing the Hobby Boss 1/48th F-84F in either Belgian or Dutch markings, mainly because I like the PRU Blue undersides, it will be interesting to see how yours and Hewy's compare. Good luck with this one.

trickyrich
I'll be interested in this one as well, as I do want to build an F-84F as well. Now we just need someone to do a Luftwaffe Fiat G.91 and we'll have them all covered.

Some parts have been glued.025 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And most of the other parts have been primed.026 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr027 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr On the menu for tonight is the cockpit, if the heatwave haven't finished me off by then. Hewy
Good start bosse, I've just about finished my cockpit, thank goodness i didn't go with hobbyboss's suggested interior green, I've gone with grey, similar to yours. Glynn

Glynn Glynn, The interior colour would originally depend upon the production block, most blocks featured interior green, dark gull gray only came in with the later blocks, so the interior colour would be linked to the serial number which ties it into the production block. Of course the cockpit could've been repainted but that's not such an easy job as people think (equipment, cable loom, hydraulic equipment removal and associated disturbed systems functional checks - could've been done in line with a major servicing). Darn it, a later block example would probably mean the nato fitted martin baker seat wez wouldn't it, too late late for me I've licked it and stuck it, i'll have to pretend its just befor the seat swap🙈, cheers wez. Glynn Sorry bosse for highjacking your thread. Edited July 31, 2018 by Hewy

Marlin
Thanks Guys. I've found pictures of both green and grey cockpit. I like the grey ones better, so I'll go with that, even if it might be wrong for this aircraft. As for the bomb, I'm not sure which type it is. Looks more like a british 1.000lbs bomb than any american variant. I'll have to trawl the net and see what it's or perhaps exchange them with a pair of M117's /Bosse
Marlin
Hello. I'm doing my best to do something small each day on my F-84F despite the hot and humid weather we're having. 028 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I've painted the piping in the whellwell silver, and I'll get a black wash over it later on. 029 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The IP has been clearcoated and is now waiting for the instrument decals. 030 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The nosegear well/intake parts has been glued together as has the exhaust. I've got some sinkmarks on the intake part that I have to deal with before painting. So slowly but surely my build goes along and if I don't drown in my own sweat in the hot and humid weather we're having I plan to continue with the build after work. To be continued..... /Bosse
