New Metro 6R4 kit

That's good, one car I used to see and enjoy in my rally marshalling days. A father of a mate of my two sons, who made custom exhausts for all manner of race teams around here (near Silverstone Circuit) used to run one on the road with a V8 Rover in the back, to and from the workshops each day!

I must tell my wife that's my next Christmas present!

I've seen the Audi being built on another site.

Did someone say quattro? :Tasty:

I don't know why, but I kind of like the metro, as it reminds me of a mate that had one that was a bag of :poop:And the seats rocked every time he hit the accelerator or brakes, and was wearing a curved groove in the windscreen where the wiper blade should have been. Scary!

Lots of them being built, some finished on a few Facebook sites.

And the Delta S4 is also out in Hong Kong, someone posted pics of the one he'd received in the UK earlier this week.

Next year is looking expensive!

If someone would like to announce a Gp B Skoda 130LR I'd be happy.

Is that different from a 130RS Ian? If not and you don't mind resin, Reji do/did one.

PS, I'd be happy with a plastic 130 too!

Sod's Law. Having just finished grafting bits that were any good cut away from the old MRM resin kit and anything else that was useable from it onto a Burago Metro die cast body to make a half decent model of this iconic rally car Belkits announce a new injection moulded kit! Both the Burago Die Cast and the MRM kit were purportedly supposed to be 1/24 scale. Both looked as though they scaled out at more like 1/20th scale.

The Belkits injection moulded one will be 1/24th scale like the renaissance resin kits, so a bit smaller than the one I have built.

MRM.     Remember when they used to have a stand at the IPMS Nationals each year?  Don't know what happened to them as they just suddenly stopped trading at he show and seemed to just disappear at about the same time. They had some interesting stuff that hey used to sell like Cossack sponsor decals and transit parts for the Esci Mark 2 Escort. I had their MG Metro 6R4 in my stash for ages. Unfortunately the body shape just did not look right hence the hacking job with the Burago Metro body and what bits I cobbled from the MRM resin kit. Bel kits are doing all 6R4 enthusiasts a favour with their kit and it should sell well.

Yep. And I remember all the money I spent there too!

I e-mailed Mike at the time as to why he was stopping, he did reply but I can't for the life of me remember what he said.... :(

I actually started to use these on an Esci Escort the year they were released. It's still in progress....!! :) However there's much better resin bits available now, lovely wheels and tyres from Motobitz (the MRM ones are nearly round!) and a nice RHD dash from Reji. Decalcas do the decals too. No-one to my knowledge does the correct grille for Roger's '76 RAC winner though.

Back to the 6R4 - I'm desperately trying to persuade myself I don't want one. Have doubts I'll succeed...! 🤣
