Richard E
Looking very smart, particularly the cabin: looking at the little round "bar stools" it doubled as Ivan's Coffee Bar and Bistro ?

Bar stools. Good one. I think they were for the guys that were needed for placing the rocket. Cheers,
Col.
Those raised lines on the missile body wouldn't be representing welds by any chance Arnold?

I have seen some pictures and there are no weld seams. Cheers,
Arniec
It has taken some time to get going with this one, but I did some work on it the last few days. At a meeting of a local building group I started to build the launching tower. I was a bit dreaded that the wired basked wouldn't fit properly, but it went down quit well to be honest. I only needed to shorten a few parts a little to get a good fix. Here are the pictures. And the last one with the rocket placed for test fitting. That is it for now. trickyrich
gee that is a complex structure! But it does look really good.

Yes, it does look complex, but it is just four mainparts. The most difficult part was to get it from the sprue. I used a microsaw for it. trickyrich
hmmm I can imagine, probably attached at a million points, no of which were the ideal spots!
Sgt.Squarehead
Evil Kondensator killing device! Actually that's utter BS.....I love this subject and have been looking longingly at the various 1/72 resin options for it (and the FROG too), but 2B1 Oka currently has priority. Will be following your build with much interest.

No, they fitted perfectly. No complaints about that I only needed to remove two small pieces to get it to it's intended spot. Cheers,
Col.
It's certainly an impressive construction and kudos to Trumpeter for making it out of so few parts. Nice work Arnold.
Arniec
Hi guys. It has been a month ago that I posted a update. It was standing at my workstation for some time, but I have done some work on it today. There is still some work to do, but it is getting to the stage of painting. I have made the launching pad and attached that to the frame witch I glued to the vehicle. Here are some pictures of what has been done. And in vertical stand. That is it for now. Arniec
Thanks guys, Here are two more pictures of how far she is now. I just need to mask the windows and she is ready for some paint. O, the rocket is still lose, so I can paint it seperately. There are three options standard in the box to get the launcher in different states, but you could ad two to it as the launching pad is movable, so you can also put the rocket in launching mode with the launcher halfway or totally closed ready to be fired. There are also parts that you can make it movable and so can put it in every position you want. Col.
By the look of all that's going on in your photo I'd say you're in for a major painting spree soon Arnold.

Arniec
I have put some paint on today. I first gave it a good coat of nato black. This was to get a good coverage for the green color. The color used was Gunze H303 as was said in the painting guide. Here are some pictures. I also painted the rocket, but I did that with a bit darker colour from Gunze. this was H73 dark green. This needs to dry now, so that I can put the decals on later. Cheers,
Col.
The simple act of painting this one has really brought it to life, which to me give testament to your painting skills Arnold, nice work again.

Arniec
And now with some decals on, witch I placed yesterday. Together with a wash. And the rocket. And how she was with a wash on and finished. The rest will go in the gallery. I made some mistakes, but it was a great build. Cheers,
Col.
Tidy work Arnold. The weathering give the look of a used but not abused piece of equipment still in service rather than in the breakers yard.
