1/35 Trumpeter SS-1C Scud B on 2P19 Finished 19-10-2018

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I will be building the Scud B missile on the 2P19 tracked launcher from Trumpeter. It will be build out of the box.

Here are some pictures of the box and content. There will be loads of parts to glue. There will be around 750 parts on it.

It also has some etch parts and some die cut masks for the windows.

This is a leaflet with it of what is possible.

and the two decal options. I think both are from a parade?!

Now we need to wait till Saturday for the start.

Hi guys, I have removed all the plastic wrapping and made a start.

I started as always with the wheels.

Then I started to put all sort of stuff on to the bottom part.

I also placed all the axles with the help of the mall that was in the kit.

And then after these were dry it was time to have a dryfit with the wheels to have a look.

That looks great!

That is it for now.

There's certainly a lot of detail in this initial assembly already Arnold and it appears to be a well thought out kit.

Hi guys,

I have started on the tracks. They are easy to build. The only downside is that it takes more time to clean them up, than it takes to glue them together.

Here are two pictures. It is the right side track. I still need to do the left side.

Thanks guys.

Here are some more pictures, but now from the other sides tracks.

And I also did some dry fitting of the mayor parts.

Today I have started painting the interior parts and the tub with it parts.

IMG_4513IMG_4514IMG_4516

There is still a lot of detail painting and decals to do in the interior.

And the tracks have got their first coat of a dark brown color.

That is it for now.

Well I have done today some more work on her. The tracks and wheels are done and also most of the interior. I still need to put some decals in there. The only thing that got my attention is that you get for all the dials decals, except for the big board.

Here are the tracks done.

and now placed on the tub with the wheels. As you can see there is also some more detail on the inside.

IMG_4524IMG_4525IMG_4526

and a dry fit of the top of the hull.

and the switchboard.

That is it for now guys. I need to put some decals on.

The downside of the tracks is that you almost don't see the top run anymore when the top is put on.

But I have done some more work on the model. She becomes more bulky by the minute, when I put another box on.

And this is how she stands now on my work-space.

Some more boxes etc placed. I hope I can paint it properly.

IMG_4535IMG_4536

I painted the pressure bottles on the back black. Because there is no way that I can airbrush that later.

I also started to glue the rocket together. This is a big rocket. It's size is about 32 centimeter. There are some raised seams, so I decided to rescribe them.

IMG_4538

You can already see that I made a start with rescribing some panellines. It also looks like the rocket is from a older kit?!

Here is a close up.

I have already done one side of the rocket with rescribing and also cleaning up of the seam.

That is it for now.

Cheers.
