..and someone comes along and confiscates the actual model, too.

And it can take you oh, 12-18 months or more to get it back

Storm Atiyah hitting these shores today: Co.Kerry's just shot up to a red warning and we're expecting big winds to hit where we are this evening further northwards so cracking this out before any power cuts. 🌬️🍃🎐

Great work Tony, looking absolutely stunning, can't wait to see the RFI.

Most kind of you Chris: there'll be one going up at some stage during the week, sunlight permitting! 😁

If you are that close to RFI, does this mean that we will miss out on you raising your styrene bat to all corners of the interwebs as you reach 100 pages?

'Fraid so Crisp.

I just knew there had to be a better reason for the Heinous Hawk Hiatus than merely cycling round the world twice Steve. :yikes:

So. In under the century with the props and rudder on this morning. :yahoo:

Some of the paint touchups involved more complicated masking than originally anticipated due to the proximity of roundels but pleased to say that aside from knocking the large point aerial err....aside, no parts were dislodged.

Don't fancy heading out into Atiyah with Annie and a camera today so expect an RFI during the week when the light is kinder and the atmosphere in less of a foment.

A few teasers to keep you going until then:

It's been a long haul hasn't it?

I don't mind admitting its taken it's toll somewhat on the Baronial carcass...

Annie is gorgeous; genuinely unrecognisable from the original kit.  Lots of things stand out, but the Cheetahs and associated mundungus (it’s a technical term) are particularly wonderful.  Very well done!

A real show stopper Tony outstanding in every way. No detail left off and every detail checked, rebuilt, rechecked and rebuilt again this must be the most accurate 1/72 Anson ever built

Are we all leaving posts in the hope we’ll make the century?

Are we?

Well I’d like to say it’s been a journey and the destination is amazing.

Good job Tony.

Blah blah blah... is that enough?

No. Rats.

That may well be the case Ced! So I'll do my part now and say what an amazing build this has been. Looking forward v much to the RFI.

So a fully working D1 @bigbadbadge ? I like that idea very much, but I think @Ex-FAAWAFU is on the money......

Terry

Hi Terry,

Yes that will be nice too, just thinking about it didn't he show us a piccie of a 48th Scale B17  on either this or the Iron Chicken thread that will be a good un too, what with the four engines etc.

I will get my 🧥 again.

All the best

Chris .

Have we reached the hundredth page yet?

I do believe he did Chris, on the Iron Chicken thread IIRC.

Absolutely brilliant work on the Anson Mr Baron sir, it’s been a pleasure watching it all come together and plenty of inspiration even though I don’t think I could match the skills on display.

Look forward to the RFI and the start on the Sea Vixens.
