bigbadbadge
Hi all Whilst still completing the lovely Airfix Ford Trimotor, I have started on the Tamiya Mossie. I am doing a blue PR IV as a test for painting of the colour for a larger PRU Blue aircraft. I won't say what it is yet though incase it doesn't work out. The kit is mainly OOB with the addition of PE seatbelts and some wiring in the cockpit. The fit is nice but there are loads of ejector pin marks on the cockpit interior etc that had to be filled. Thanks for looking All the best Chris Edited September 16, 2018 by bigbadbadge

brianthemodeller
Just finished one of these in the PR scheme. Lovely kit only spoiled by my hamfisted glazing! I’m going to sit quietly at the back and see how it’s supposed to be done! Edited July 21, 2018 by brianthemodeller
bigbadbadge
Hi all Bit further along with the Mossie. Fuselage together and wing joints being checked with primer and cleaned up where necessary. Nacelle to wing joints filled. Hatch walls added from PPP Thanks for looking All the best Chris
bigbadbadge
Hi all Done a bit more to the Mossie. Had a bit of a disaster with the Canopy where the decal silvered inside. I had added clear and so I thought I would use enamel gloss varnish thinned slightly to get under the decal but the canopy went milky white in places. I soaked it in Dettol and all the decals and paint came off and then had a mega micro meshing session and then painted on the lines for the interior framework inside instead. Otherwise all is going fairly smoothly. Here it is with almost complete undercarriage apart from mud guards and the props resting in place just to get a look at the awesome lines of the Mossie. Thanks for looking All the best Chris

Col.
Lovely work Chris. Always like the Mosquito in PRU Blue; the simple single colour displays the elegant lines of the type so well

Looking at this and then looking at my DZ383... Well! All I can say is that the only thing that saves mine is the gorgeous lines of the Mossie herself!
