USS/CSS Harriet lane

Recommended Posts

Bonjour,

Cordialement.
Marc

I beg your pardon, an error in my handling with Google translation.
Sorry.

Hello,

Well, here's how I told you my vision of USS / CSS Harriet Lane.
An old model but that gave me a lot of fun.
There is not much documentation about the ship on the internet but the few models built are all different ...
I am not really satisfied with the final result because I think I have not been rigorous in rigging. It's a part that I have to work harder.
I will do better next time.
I wish you a good end of the day.
Sincerely.
Marc

Hello,

Yes, I have to learn how to make knots "more maritime" and as I said for the Sirene replace some parts of the mats by wood.
the plastic bends.
Thank you for your appreciations.
See you soon.

If i'm right, that is the very old, and stress the very, Pyro kit. It had many incarnations including one as a blockade runner, hence the CSS. It was a very nice kit in its day, but that day was back in the late 50's. You've done an excellent job. There's no way you could tell how old this kit really is due to your efforts. Bravo.

Thanks Gamevender,

You're absolutely right, this is the old kit Pyro that I found with the label Lindberg.
To improve this kit, I was inspired by a photograph of a superb model of Mr. J.LOWREY during a competition at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum (silver medal).
The quality of his model is such that I managed to improve mine.
Thank you for your praise and hello to the OHIO.
Marc
