Considering Zdenek Macháček (aka ZM) artworks usually illustrate Valom, Fly and AZmodel boxings it's reasonable to assume that one of these brands is to release a new tool 1/72nd kit of this British STOL transport aircraft. My guess: Valom..update

And the winner is Valom

OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! Me want! There are several nice Aussie schemes for that ...

I remember well one in Classic Wings Downunder magazine that was painted like a tropical/"desert" island. That would be an interesting modelling challenge!

That's certainly one of them. The others were VH-BHJ, -EVA and -EVB. The first two were new buys, the others ex-Royal Malaysian Air Force. Geoff Goodall's site (http://www.goodall.com.au/) has pictures of all of them.

Drawing that scheme for -AIS is going to be a challenge (which I will take up this afternoon, after the base drawings have been done!).

I want one of these! Not built a Valom kit before. How are they?

Variable, but if you don't expect everything to be shake'n bake, you won't be too disappointed. Like others, however, they seem to be getting better all the time. Their Ouragan is nice, and I understand their DH Albatross is a belter. The Twin Pin certainly catches my eye, and will probably be heading towards my stash -perhaps even my workbench.

Just don't ask CedB about the Airacuda he bought off me at Yeovilton a year or two back. I believe he still has to resort to valium every now and then when the memories become too strong.
