Chris Taglialavore Posted July 8, 2018 Share Posted July 8, 2018 Hi all, I’ve been searching and searching for 1/24 accessories (roof rack, boxes/petrol can etc to go on the roof rack, wheels) suitable to fit to my Tamiya beetle... any suggestions of good sites to find these sorts of things? Pete in Lincs Posted July 8, 2018 Share Posted July 8, 2018 I saw a great rack on a Beetle the other week. It was suspended out over the rear engine deck rather than on the roof. It seemed to be home made. I can't remember where the support struts attached to (maybe the rear ones to the bumper mounts?) but it was impressive and looked cool. This one, https://www.highlightmodelstudio.com/en# Is not quite what I meant. The one I saw was horizontal and above the engine deck lid. PatW Posted December 24, 2018 Share Posted December 24, 2018 Well we owned a number of Beetles from the 1970's onwards. We had roof racks and engine racks for cases and even one that went out over the engine lid onto to two support struts that were vertical onto the rear bumper! The roofracks I've recently bought are in a Fujimi kit with a Mountain Bike and two racks and roof boxes................................ If you can find them on ebay they go recently at around £20.
