Unfinished project
Very nice that looks fast even sitting still. Cracking build and excellent finish 👍
72modeler
Outstanding model! Looks more like a Tamiya than an Airfix kit. Best Mk 22 build I have seen so far! Mike

gingerbob
Wow, that would look great even as a 48th rendition! One of the best finishes of the 72nd kit I've seen yet.
Max Headroom
That is an excellent build and very nicely finished too. I agree it could pass for 1/48. Never heard of the brand of paints though? Trevor
Hairtrigger
Amazing build... Is the pilot the one that comes with the kit? I had to check the scale again, as looks more 1:48...

Cracking build and excellent finish 👍 Absolutely agree with that! Must have busted the other competitors with this one. On 7/7/2018 at 12:24 AM, 72modeler said: Outstanding model! Honestly, the kit itself looks really ok, nice details overall - but the fit was really nowhere close to a Tamiya... it might have been also about me (since a friend didn't experience the cockpit problem I've encountered) but I had to use the dremel to fit it in! Silver ones can look very pleasant too and IMHO I think they are way more tricky to paint, so there's something going on and they do not look too dull. Trevor This brand is indeed not very well known and as far as I know, they discontinued the line, unfortunately... I really like these paints, because they come in handy bottles and the color tones seem to be spot on, much better than other brands. If I'm not mistaken, there might be some hope, because those paints must be nothing other than Vallejo (bottles says produced in Spain..) Maybe somebody here knows more about it?? If you're interested in them, spruebrothers still do have some in stock On 7/7/2018 at 8:33 PM, Hairtrigger said: Amazing build... Is the pilot the one that comes with the kit? opus999
The mark 22 is such a beautiful aircraft! Your subtle weathering really makes it believable. Nice job! i recently bought the airfix kit myself and was going to do the silver version, but after seeing this, I may change my mind!
John Masters
Superb Ben. Real skill and craft and striking aircraft to boot! I think you also answered my question about the blister firings on the SAAF Mk.22 I will build for the GB...
