My dad´s next 109 project, using a Hasegawa G-14 kit, because it has the tall tail, and Cutting Edge decals

Looking like a great project. Always fancied doing a Swiss 109 but that Cutting Edge sheet is rarer than Hen’s teeth.

Dave Klaus from Cutting Edge still sells them

not the best decals, but Kora/LF Models has also decals for Swiss 109s

The CE decals have the white crosses only combined with the red undersurface, seems the decals are intended for both, E and G models. Don´t know how they fit the Hasegawa G-6, also it´s not so easy to find the correct red paint that fits the decals. Therefore my dad decided to paint the Swiss IDs completely, using Montex masks for the crosses.

Your Dads choice to airbrush the white and mask for the red is the sensible and obvious option. Appplying those decals and getting a good finish and paint match would prove to be difficult.
