If I recall correctly I airbrushed Precision matt varnish as a top coat, but it didn’t go on evenly and gave a slightly satin finish in places. It was an older tin, I think. Anyway, I then decided to patch paint some panels Humbrol matt varnish, which gave the plane a rather serendipitous irregular pattern that looked a bit like tatty Special Night.
