I will now take a bath in the so called "Criminal insanity" The Griffon I was talking about is NOT a Rolls Royce made one… But this ! With a Fonderie kit, do not ask "Is this kit accurate ???" Here the name of the game is "How much did they screwed up that thing ??" On the other hand, Fonderie has Always made some 1/48 kit that one will never see produced by any other brand !! Hence this one ! Now, I will look in my files and gathering any available documents, here are the instructions destructions First time I saw this bird in the flesh, I knew that one day I MUST have one in my collection First eyebrow raising… The kit seem a bit too short…. Some resin and white metal parts plus a PE fret ! The Decals Second Eyebrow raising…. Aaaand a general view Now !! Our dear tentacled one, let's verify The fonderie reputation… I'll finish her for my next SMW ? I mean 2019 ?? I already showed a pic or two of this one, So this thread is now for 2 Fonderie kits Seeeeee….. And look how much it's funny !!! Total clear kit except where it should be clear, so before masking I have polished the glasses with Tamiya compound ! It is not obvious but yhe interior (Very basic one Indeed) Need a lot of adjustment … Too large on the upper side and too little at the base ! I will not say more for today … 2 evening work and then I'll be back at the Bench But Hey, I finished a kit today, so load of WiP but already 4 RFI this year !! Sincerely. CJP Posted July 6, 2018 Share Posted July 6, 2018 These two look interesting CC - I think FM kits takes us back to the time when you had to do some scratch built modelling instead of relying on nicely cast aftermarket accessories - the instructions look a lot better than the sketchy pages in the Alize kit - I will be watching your progress with these two while I push on with my Alize build.
