If you want to know the reason, see the AD station wagon's thread... Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Hello Gents, Some news from the world.... The lunacy is not about to stop on here.... But, my plea is not guilty Sir !! That's for the good of an old kit.... Esci Airscrew is quite good both in shape and dimensions.... But the engine cowling..... Diameter is almost right aaaaand that's all... So who go you call ?? I still will try to resist.... So, I'll find a way... And some other decals for Sandy.... More to come soon !! Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
All I wanna do, is have some fun.... But it did'nt work the way I wanted.... I waited to glue the engine cowling in order to save the overpainting on the exhaust stubs... BUT.... If you remember, I rectified the undersized engine cowling...... And here's the result of the whole mess.... Once again, AA brain is on.... The best option to hide these gaps... Is to extend the cooling flaps... Just like the real thing.... You stupid CC... You should have think about it sooner..... Well, more to come soon.... I also have to repair an U/C leg that I found broken in the box.... Aaaaah the fun of these old kit.... Stashed for years.... Have a great modelling week end !! Sincerely. CC
corsaircorp
Here we are !! And Hoooray for the plasticard.... Cowling flaps glitch is called fixed !! corsaircorp
Look Gents, I really love the old Monogram kits, really... Having a lot of it is a kid's dream that turned true !! But, modelling has changed... and it mean a lot... Then old boxes of kit present also a lot of surprises.... Here's a bad one.... The peg that must receive the wheel is missing..... Look like a short shot but, whatever, it's another setback for the AD-4NA.... Trying to fix it now... Since it will bear the model's weight, I cannot use a bit of sprue.... Calling for a friend.... Albion alloy maybe ??? I found the right diameter.... Now, drilling the U/C leg with great care... I'm still under the Monogram brittle plastic trauma.... I'll try to finis it this evening, we'll see... Now on a more funny note... I'm glad that my friend @The Spadgent has sourced some blue Chimay in U.K So, here's the place to visit if you'll spend some days on here...   We can say that the monks knew how to choose the nice and right place for having an abbey..... I was badly in need of calm and serenity.... (However serenity for me is a bit exxagerated) Here's the birthplace of the Chimay beers... Nowadays, only the 500 grande reserve is brewed here.... They have a bigger production line outside the abbey, at a mere 8kms apart... As it is still a abbey and all the production of both beer and cheese is still carefully overwatched by the monks, There are no bar or restaurant for the public intra muros... But.... After a short walk through the forest.... There is the "Espace Chimay" So my Dear Spad !! Cheers from Mrs CC and me !! These cheese are really tasty.... Not the way french cheese are.... The old fashioned one taste a bit like an old Cheddar.... And my beloved wife taste a Chimay for the first time of her life.... The Golden one but a Chimay nonetheless !! More to come soon !! Sincerely. CC 10

From museum to monuments and delicate beverage tasting sessions.... 😇😇 And that can be labelled prayers.... The way we can pretend to be perfect god's lamb..... Sincerely. corsaircorp
Hello Gents ii Let's call the Leg saved !! Not necessary of showing a pic of a leg shaved or unshaved.... So, AD has legs now... Not standing on it yet, I let it cure a bit... Who Know !! Every parts are now glued in... Weathering time now !!! I fell back in my Mustangery.... It's Giorgio's fault.... As if I need an incentive to go from a kit to another one....😇 Oil dotting in a near future !! Oh !! about dotting, see that !! White and yellow dotting with flowers... Walking the dog on here is a pleasure for the eyes... Sincerely. CC

Always let it up, do not laid the bottle on its lenght.... Because of the moulds... You can keep a blue for 3 to 5 years... But shhht !!  Well, time now for oil dotting !!! I'm always a bit scary when I do that.... Even if I know that there are no risks.... Inner part of the wing done The difference is subtle but it give a deeper hue !!  Have fun in modelling !! corsaircorp
Well, my son told me that I showed pics before and after... And then ?? Sound advice from a would be modeller... So here's a pic in between... When I blended al the plaint with a flat brush, I let it dry a bit, around 30 min... And then, I clean a bit with a paper towel, always in the direction of the relative wind for an aircraft... from prow to stern as we stay in Naval World !! Sincerely. bigbadbadge
Great save on the undercarriage leg CC and what a lovely little pussy cat too.  Hope Mrs CC enjoyed her Chimay and cheeses and you too of course.  Now why would you want to keep beer for 5 years CC, it needs to be drunk !!!  Will pop over to RFI now. Â Chris Most monastic beers get a better taste after 3 years. For example, St. Arnoldus, Vondel, Corsendok, etc. In fact, some of them for this purpose have a layer yeast. Â But, yes, I agree, when you have good company and some delicious "hors d'oeuvres" why wait?

corsaircorp
Here we are.... I must push forward on the Esci Kits.... Because, if I work on the Tamiya first.... The Esci's will become bench queens..... Finally, I will use my old trick on the engine cowlings.... One of the kits has surely been badly stocked... the plastic break like gless.... See the cowling...and every part is likewise.... General shap is quite good... The canary one will need 2 side blisters.... Mmmmmh, I think that one of my Avengers will become an organs donor More to come soon..... Sincerely.
