Hello Dears,

I did'nt forget the A-1H Since it's a late aircraft, the lateral airbrakes are not installed. Soooo

WP_20190127_21_42_19_Pro

A little bit more of filling and sanding !!

Then I'll finish the interior of the AD-4N and button her up !

And it will be time for engraving !! Using the Tamiya as a Template !!

There are plenty of avantages in doing 2 différents kits of the same (Almost) aircraft

Ok Today, I did one month without smoking !! I hope that I'll keep it up a bit longer than 6 months !!

Have a great modelling time and take care !

Sincerely.

Hello Dears,

Then I remember my old Hasegawa Weapons boxes….

WP_20190128_21_19_56_Pro

All right ! Now I'm glad, I will finish it one day, since I also got some MER and TER...

Plus all the missiles...

Just one question...

What is meaning of the K in a sentence like, He's earning a £23K.... or she has a debt of £55K...

That's worrying me when I did'nt understand Something…

Here are a few to tease, from the internet.

fragstc597gj2Ba1

Well anyway, I received the Trumpeter AD-7 and have ordered an AD-4 just to see if there are any differences between the two. My plan is and have started drawing up bulkheads to convert to and AEW-1 or AD-4W Guppy in 1/32nd scale. I did a very long time (1981) ago converted the Monogram kit to an AEW-1. With the help of the British Aviation Research Groups A History Of The Douglas Skyraider AEW.1 book.

Press on CC with your build. It's coming along quite well . Your doing a wonderful job on your creations.

CC,

K as for my children means okay. Must be the new language. Though not the way I was taught.

Not sure what type of CBU your looking for. If the CBU as in CBU-58 or the training dispenser SU-30 as the picture here

page23-1012-full

I loaded quite a few of these during my time on the F-4 and F-111. It used a electric fuze underneath the nose dome in this picture and as on the F-4 most of the time we loaded this

page23-1006-full

Have a few others and the one picture in my previous post shows a CBU on each inboard pylon.

Happy Modelling

Hello Dears !!

Let's start another mumbling session ???

I compared the 2 Spad and everything looked right, I place the side doors, erased the armour on the Monogram one

But still Something was itchy for me...

I found where the problem was lying...🤬🤬:mg:

WP_20190129_20_52_33_Pro

Raaaaahhhhh !!!! :rage:

Ok I will let it that way and consider it's good !

Second thought, is this that worse ???

WP_20190129_20_52_47_Pro

Ies !! It is 🤬 I'll comply to the rules of BM, but can you Believe me if I told you that even my dog has learned new words ????

I can't repeat it here but it was epic !!

Once again, I told myself that I will not correct it.

Then I look at the fuel tanks, I really Don't care since I will not use it but….

WP_20190129_21_05_47_Pro

The Tamiya one is above, they surely did some 1/72 fuel tanks for a 1/48 Spad….

But there is more fun !!

WP_20190129_22_26_08_Pro

The rear U/C leg is right compared to the Tamiya one….

But the Wheel….

Ok I will correct the Wheel, easy peasy lemon squeezy !!

WP_20190129_22_30_28_Pro

Then I paid a look to the exhaust stacks...

WP_20190129_22_53_12_Pro

Cleaning and drilling, that will look far better that way !!

And then, Now you know me, I fell again...:bristow:

WP_20190129_22_09_04_Pro

On we go with that same job !! The Korean war Spad will take a bit longer to make it to the RFI

How many Monogram Spad did I have in my attic ???:tumble:

May be take a mould… I'll see !!

Okay Chaps !! have a great modelling time and take care

Winter is here !!

Sincerely.

CC,

I can tell you I had not used the Monogram molded on fuel tanks. I did use a A-4 Skyhawks tank modified to fit the centerline of the second AD I built. The third, fourth, fifth and sixth are still waiting to be finished. Well children came along, military retirement and then grandchildren all aided to set aside my modelling. Now I finishing the large storage building to move my hobby there. Hoping to start up again this summer. As for how many Skyraiders I have, last count 27. ESCI, Monogram, Tamiya, and Matchbox in 48th scale. Testors Italeri in 72nd scale and now the newest Trumpeter in 32nd scale.

Hello Ron !

I have just another monogram one ! So, no moulds, it's not relevant in this case,

Then I have 2 Esci, 2 Matchbox and 2 Tamiya !!

In fact My memory was fading about the ordnance

What I was looking for was this Vicious little feind

WP_20190130_21_10_03_Pro

The AD-6 was surely bound to bomb a "Truck park"

More to come soon !!

Sincerely.

I'm really liking the cowl mod. Is it still going to mount the same?

Makes you wonder what drivers are doing while driving. Texting sleeping thinking they have a self driven car. What a gas, love the picture.

Great work on both skyraiders

Obviously not, but I'll see what to do then !

The fact is the fuselage look right on the plan, but the engine cowling is undersized.

Now thanks to the inner cooling flaps the engine is barely visible, so I will not change it.

But I foresee some works on the rear cooling flaps….🤔

Whatever, they are not right !! So !!

As I'm working on the roadside, I saw incredible things….

But God has his hands full in saving stupid peoples :rofl2:

WP_20190818_22_04_36_Pro

she now look all a Skyraider !! engine cowling is momentarily fixed for painting

Glad that my detailling on the engine is still visible !

WP_20190818_21_51_30_Pro WP_20190818_21_51_47_Pro
