Seafire Mk 46/47 Cockpit Detail Set in a Spitfire Mk.22/24 ??

Hi Folks,

 

I have a Czechmaster 1:48 Seafire Mk.46/47 Cockpit Detail Set designed for the Airfix kit which is surplus to requirements, so I would like to use it in an Airfix Spitfire Mk.22/24 build. I imagine there are differences between the two cockpits given the seafaring nature of the Seafire variant but I'm not an absolute detail fanatic so I can live with one or two minor inaccuracies between the two. So, do any Spitfire/Seafire experts out there know if I can go ahead without making a serious faux pas in using this detail set or should I keep a lookout for a Spitfire specific set ?.

Offhand, and without checking my references, I think the Seafire had a flare cartridge rack across the front of the pilot's seat pan: that would not be present on Spitfires.

The seat in the Seafire Cockpit detail set does not have this present but interestingly the Seat in my Spitfire XIX cockpit detail set (by Barracuda) does have this flare cartridge rack feature......I remember because I had to rebuild part of it after inadvertently sawing it off !.
