Need to run until stock is not gone! I wonder if Italy ever operated camouflaged rf-84? Seems to stay in natural metal through full service period.

Italian RF-84Fs only ever carried the natural metal scheme and as the type was operated by a single wing there was not much variation in markings, only the ones relative to the various squadrons within the wing and some small changes over time.

Don't know why they were never camouflaged, afterall the F-104s had already been camouflaged a few years before the Thunderflash was withdrawn from service.

Can you give those that have not bought it yet your opinion when it does arrive please.

Robert

They landed yesterday but I was home late. I'll get them open today and post my view/thoughts.

I'd to build an Italian but if you want camo then a French machine would be the way to go. They were very attractive in an unusual style.

I haven't had chance to compare to the Italeri as it is in my loft and I can't get there now. On first look it is typical Sword and therefore will build in to a good model. The jury is still out on the width of the cockpit. I need to check drawings. Crisp and subtle panel lining and details. Two options for seats. Am I l pleased with my purchase? Very! My plan - when I get to them in the schedule - is a NMF Norwegian and a Camouflaged Greek (37682) courtesy of Vingtor and Icarus decals and some home printing ;).

Looking at the sprues' photos there seems to be something odd with the shape of the fuselage and the vertical fin. Did anyone else noticed it?

Perhaps its only the specific photos that give me a certain notion that something is not right. Any thoughts? Perhaps someone could do a comparison with some 1/72 drawings of the actual aircraft?

Just my two cents.
