SUB-SAM Posted June 26, 2018 Author Share Posted June 26, 2018 (edited) Proof it's in 1/144 scale: (shot taken yesterday before it was finished) The rigging and wheel spokes are thinner than human hair, I use 0.05mm Kanthal A1 Nichrome. The rigging using this material is quite easy but the spoked wheels are challenging. I'm considering getting some diazepam or other muscle relaxants to help steady my hands for future builds. I must now decide what to build next. Masochism would make me scratch build and rig this: But I really should have a bit of a break and do something simple. I have all Valom kits with exception of the DR1. Andrew The F2b kit is one of the better Valom kits. I have found that half the Valom kits have crap recessed rib lines and somewhat hand carved looking details, the other half (newer releases?) have properly formed wings and crisper details, the F2b is one of them. Generally the 1/144 WW1 range is a bit depressing, Valom are the best ones so far. I got excited seeing thre range of Sram resin kits that were about but looking at pictures of the kits they look poor finish and have nasty one piece fuselages. There's a few odds and sods resin kits from different manufacturers but I can see myself doing some scratch building. I should start another business doing ww1 kits...
